Recent projects completed by VRHabilis, LLC


Demolition of NIKE missile magazine CD-78 (located Oxford, OH) — Project consisted of water treatment, removal of internal machinery and abatement of environmental contaminates from missile magazine complex, demolition of underground facilities and restoration of site. Contaminates included Asbestos, TCE, Heavy Metals and hydraulic oils. Magazine demolition was performed explosively with a cost savings of over 30% over traditional demolition methods. Client USACE Louisville District.

Pine Ridge Air Gunnery Range Decommissioning (located Oglala Sioux Reservation and Badlands National Park, SD) — Project consisted of collecting soil samples from drums utilized as air to ground gunnery targets in seven remote locations on tribal lands and within the national park. Once an adequate waste characterization was performed on drum contents and the surrounding footprint, contaminated contents of the drums were manually sifted and packaged for disposal. All drums were ultimately removed and the target areas restored.

Oversight and management of Fuel Tank Calibration — Management of client's tank calibration services at 22 locations throughout the DOD fuel storage and transfer system.

Consulting Services
  • Provided Management for three EE/CA's Former Camp Bowie, Former Camp Wolters and Former Longhorn Army Ammunition Plant. Performed data gap analysis on EE/CA findings. Collected additional field data and analysis to convert EE/CA to RI/FS. Oversaw two Time Critical Removal Actions (TCRA) and collected field data and observation during two Site Investigations (SI). Supervised operations and data collection on EE/CA for Former Waikoloa Maneuver Area.
  • Fort Leonardwood, MO wrote the Installation Strategic Munitions Management Plan.
    Organizational Effectiveness Analysis for the Boreal Ecology Cooperative Research Unit, University of Alaska at Fairbanks.
  • Earth Resources Technology unexploded ordinance technical services

Range Residue Certification Services ( Fort McCoy, WI) — As part of the aforementioned munitions management plan, inspected, certified as safe and recycled material collected during range maintenance activities.
